Oxygen Sensor Question

Hi, I am having an issue replacing the o2 sensors on the exhaust manifolds. The sensors closest to the engine. I have ordered a few different brands and the male treads seem to have a smaller diameter than the originals so they won't install. I was reading that this may be some kind of collar that I need to remove and install onto the new sensors. I was wondering if this is the case?

This is a 2002 Nissan Xterra 3.3L automatic 4x4 non supercharged. (facelift)

Here is a photo of the original and the new sensor.

Hi, thank you. I ended up finding a post that said the same thing. I blasted it and let it sit. Came off very easily. Starting one of the sensors was a knuckle buster, way down there in the engine bay and it didn't want to start! Engine light ended up going off, for now....

FYI, if you ever need new threaded adapters for the O2 sensors, they're still available from Nissan, as well as on eBay, Amazon, etc.

20607-P6500 is the part number; common on many Nissan vehicles.
