Ome Dakar Rear Leaf Springs (lift Question)

I just installed a set of OME Dakar leaf springs. I ended up getting more lift than what was advertised. They were advertised to add 1.5 inch lift in the back, and ended up getting almost three inches after instillation. Is this a combination of my old springs sagging, and the new ones adding lift or are they just that much taller? Also, is there anything I need to do with my drive line or anything else to accommodate the extra lift?

There's a spec for the OEM ride height, you may want to compare your ride height to that rather than your old springs because it's possible that your bigger lift is relative to sagging leafs. Also they do tend to settle a little bit after you get some weight and miles on them.

Did you go with the MD or HD leafs? FWIW I got very close to 1.5" lift from my MD leafs. I have thoroughly enjoyed the suspension, currently at 30K miles since install.

It's on an inferior forum from before I knew better ;), but see this link for my experience with the OME setup:

I was advised to wait and see if I needed to add shims to correct a 30-40 MPH driveline vibration. If you are not experiencing that, great. If you are, you may need to put some shims in to correct the pinion angle. We actually have two Xterras with the OME setup, and only one needed shimming, so although I feel the majority of installs require shims, it's not all of them.

Need Bigger Tires
Yah, mine settled around the 1.5 as well. Was definitely a noticeable change given how bad my OEMs were sagging. Went MD as well, I've heard the HDs are a fairly rough ride unless you add a bunch of weight back there. Only driveline vibration I had after the swap was because the ujoint was basically dead by that point as well, replacing that fixed it.
