Macland, a Lawton meet and greet would obviously be easy enough for me, lol. I suspect we could more easily get Jeepman1 to come to that too, and he has got a killer rig. dhyde, I'd definintely be down for a run out to Amarillo sometime.

LOL! Cool. Let me check with MississippiGal and maybe SoonerFan. If we go with Lawton and no one needs to do any mods, maybe we can all grab something to eat/drink locally. We could also all cruise the loop known as the Valley of the Wichitas that starts on the refuge but runs section line roads (mostly dirt and gravel) around the north side of the refuge. It's pretty scenic and takes an hour or so.

That sounds pretty good for a spring meet and greet. By then will there be flowers blooming?

There may be some things out, but our peak is really in May/early June. If we keep getting even a little periodic precip, it should be a phenominal year after a year of so many grass fires.

I could possibly do that, our schedule for next month should be out by the end of this week, the only weekend I know I have off I can't come over that way, the wife would murder me for blowing off the baby's 1st birthday party to go wheeling ;)

Okay, so if Saturday 24 March sounds good for a Lawton M&G, I'll start a new thread here and on TNX.
That sounds like a plan man. Get to it!

This would be a hard trip to make for just a M & G. I think it'll be great for people that don't have to drive 5 hours though. Especially since it's not going to be wheeling as much as scenic driving it sounds like. Well the bigger part will be the M & G.

meh, the drive isn't any worse than a shopping weekend in dallas, OKC, or Albuquerque....

it's no biggie, I certainly understand. The baby loves to wheel too, but, I just can't kidnap her and leave the 60+ people that she's inviting and that's just family.... *facepalm*

I just left a hand written invite to XN on an AWESOME first gen Xterra here in Altus. They had an xoc sticker so maybe they'll come visit us. This X was sweet, rockin some sweet destination mts, a light rack on the roof loaded with 4 lights, a nice yakima rack I think, with a shovel mounted and a highlift mount. And as if that's not enough, their Thunder fans! I hope they join up!

this actually reminds me of an idea I had....we should as a collective make up a business card sized "invitation" flyer for the site, then post the digital file for anyone to download and print, that way we can have a few handy and stick em on decent X's we see on a day to day basis (I see prolly 4-10 every day at work, and rarely are they the same ones...there's a girl in canyon that has a decently built (still stock looking) '08 offroad with nice 33" tires and all that I'd pass one to next time I see her, as well as a few others around town that I'd intentionally stop to invite.)

OKXterra and MississippiGal (Mike and Mandy) are in the Lawton newspaper with an article on their bird watching expedition at Christmas time. I normally don't even read that paper and randomly picked it up today and saw you guys' picture. Looks like you had a successful trip.

LOL! Yeah we pop up in the paper periodically for some of the survey stuff we head up. That one is a more public survey sponsored by Audubon Society, but it's always fun, LOL.

I may have found the perfect park for us. Driving distance is reasonable. It looks to have a good variety of stuff offered. I'm messaging the owner asking a few questions so I'll post up more when I know more. The place is called Backwoods Offroad in Hydro, OK.

The place is opening up to the public for the first time the 28th of June, I figure we might put something together a little later this summer. Hopefully the guy will be cool and hopefully there is some stuff there that isn't break yo chit offroading.

Hey I saw an ad for your new park and was wondering if you'd created a page for it or if you were just going to keep it as a personal page where you add the person as a friend. Also, I read you guys have some "stock Jeep" friendly stuff and rock crawling stuff. Could you elaborate on that for me? I've got a Nissan Xterra and I have several Xterra friends in Oklahoma and Texas who have been looking for a decent place to wheel. We're not mudders and all of our rigs are daily drivers so when we offroad we don't do anything looking to break stuff, stuff breaks eventually but you get what I mean. Some people are looking for a breaking point and some people just want to hit some challenging trails. You're located in a perfect driving distance for me and the other guys so I hope you have a good variety of trails. Let new know, thanks man.
