How's your TS progress?

It's not a thing anymore.
Right now I am focusing on getting her armored up. I need to do some small mods like upgrade my coilovers and get a new leaf pack eventually.
Might get a BL before the TS takes place.
Titan swap has been officially put on hold till M gets her 4Runner.

First few pics of the new snorkel.
Still need to add some things. Like replacing the pipe under the quarter panel with something wider and more flexible, like some plastic accordion pipe/duct stuff.
And maybe swap out the head for a cobra style one as well, once it extend it to the roof line.

Dat hood tho

Yeah . . . its a mess.

I tried to see if I could get it sandblasted. And then I was reminded that they are literally blasting sand at the hood, which would dent it. So it's either find a way to repaint and not look like junk or just find a new one completely.

Unless there is a way that maybe I can sand it down by hand, or even with power sander. I just dont want to leave giant dents in it from sanding.

I guess if you want to get technical, it does leave little tiny dents. Super tiny. Like you can't see them they're so tiny. Which is a nice surface to be painted.

What is benefit?

No more Coil Bucket Contact. Before every time I went over the smallest bump or speed hump, my stock UCAs would slam against the bucket. It was loud, jarring, and sounded like a mess.

So a smoother ride, allows for my coils to fully extend, and technically stronger. Also - my old ball joints were ripped up and leaking.

I need to finish these but you get the idea. Need to get two more strands across the axles and also get that one light that is shining in my aux light port covered up.

Nice! Looking good! What did you secure them with?

So I used the adhesive on the back of them to line them up.

Then I went over them with some waterproof caulking, that dries clear. I might be using the wrong term -I will post a link of the stuff in a second. Held up great though.

Nothing fancy - just some Destination ATs. With all the highway driving, I had to drop the MTs and one of my tires had a puncture anyways.

Man this was a great truck - The MX was sold on 7/24/2019. Didn't get much for her, but her time was up.
No plans on getting a new one. Just enjoying a 2016 Maxima SV these days.

It's been fun yall!

Sad to see them go. Remember her for the good times she gave you. And there will always be a place for you here.

It sucked to let go and honestly I had A TON of fun with her. We did a family send off and everything - I mean she has been part of our family for years. It just got to the point I couldn't DD her anymore and I couldn't afford the time off to work on her. Even then - I was spending like $400-$450 in gas just on my truck.

It was time. I'll poke around here and there. Maybe in a few years I might grab an older JK or TJ to go join the local guys on runs.

Fine. But don't be too much of a stranger.
