NORAC (Nissan Off Road Association of Colorado), with the help of our friends Trail Ridge Runners and Colorado Jeep Life, got one of our adopted trails - Caribou Creek - open for the season on July 18th. We adopted this trail this year through the Boulder Forest Service with whom we work with closely on our other trails. We had the chance to run the trail a few weeks ago to develop a plan with the FS to open it. Yesterday, we executed the plan to install buck & rail around a delicate marsh area with materials provided by Boulder Watershed. They were more than happy to purchase material to protect the area when a group of dedicated people were ready to work. We also cleared 10 trees, installed signage, and protected restoration areas to get this beautiful trail open for the season. Thanks to all the dedicated people who came out and worked so hard!
