Gear slides all over the place in the back. I have tried common non skid materials but no joy so far. Any solutions other than the hold downs?

WeatherTech floor mat. I also use the netting to keep smaller stuff from moving around. I picked one up used and cut off the back tub part so I can still slide stuff in and out easily

Outdoor floor mat from Home Depot, trimmed to fit. You can alway cut some slits or holes in it to use it with the track tie downs.
Might give this a shot, but I will cover the back of the seats as well and secure with velcro strips.

Now we got 2 dogs, back seat ain’t cutting it anymore, I wanna give the whole rear to them so they can lay as they wish. Was it diificult to trim?

Not difficult at all. I think I used a utility knife but a strong pair of scissors or shears might be even easier.

I think this is the one I used but it’s been a while so I’m not 100% sure.

I bought a thick heavy rubber truck cargo mat and you can't push anything across it if it has a little weight to it . Think it was like $70 with shipping from I-75 Sale's on Ebay . These are second's that might have a bubble or cut is wrong/off or the top finish isn't too good . I can throw up a pic if needed .

Notice the Action packers, For folks wanting to sleep in the back. The action packers Create extra head room. Or case of Oil works too.
OOp's side tracked the thread.

Rubberized matting helps.. I tried a Rubber mat runner, was nice while new. as it aged, became more stiff, cold weather the entire thing would slide. At one point over the Hatch lock hoop which jammed hatch.. Now Solved it by Tossing my Warn Winch on it, with a tie down. Or just weight helps.

Those bins look perfect. Can you tell us what brand and size they are?

To continue the thread sidetrack, as Rob said, they're the 8GL Action Packers. They are pretty much perfect for that space and we use them when sleeping inside the Xterra while camping. They've become more expensive now, and they're not the strongest box or most efficient shape, but they're hard to beat for that purpose. I highly recommend them if you want something to create a flat sleeping area. Our '09 Xterra even came with some included in the purchase!

Note that unless you're short and have the front seat far forward, there is not really room for them in the rear passenger footwell when driving around. This is typically how I have them, you can run a strap through the forward seat bottom and child seat loops. I have a series of pics showing the setup that I've been meaning to put together in a separate post. Maybe I'll work on that this week.

You already drove past me this past weekend, but if you’re ever down in the northern Virginia area I have two of those in my garage you can have for 75% less than whatever they’re going for these days.
