just received my bumper from RLC quick turnaround and nice work. Got parts galore sitting on my garage floor PML, body lift, led lights, front bumper now the problem is finding a shop to get things installed without getting robbed any suggestions?

What you'll pay a shop you can use for tools and do it yourself. Plus wrenching on your rig is as fun as wheeling it.

C3 this is true but i have no idea where to begin and not many members near me so dont think its something i can tackle alone. Granted I have no problem wrenching with the proper guidance assisting me.

I get it when I first got the X I was pretty clueless, go to a stock friendly run, or go and watch someone's mod days you'll learn a lot and soon find out it isn't too hard.

What makes it hard is living in the northeast, rusty bolts are always a battle, but doing your research and being prepared with a plan B is more than half the battle.

Muhoms- hit up the NEXterra forum as well. There are some great guys on there who know their stuff about 1g's. They make some wheeling trips to Rausch a good bit. Maybe you guys can work out a mod/wheeling weekend.

I'm intrigued by the dancing girls offer haha. Unfortunately, I am unavailable.

The BL is easier with at least one other person, as one can look while the other is jacking, etc...but, for example, an 18 year old girl who'd never wrenched in her life did her own 2" BL in her driveway in about 8 hours....and then drove it to the campsite to wheel the next morning.

The PML is a one man job too if need be, as there's no part of it that requires a second person.

There are threads on how to do these, with pics, etc. There's just no excuse to pay someone other than say a disability or an apartment complex that won't let you wrench in your p spot, etc. :D

If you pay a shop, YOU won't ever see how it all works/looks like, and, when wheeling, you won't recognize if something is different, etc. You really DO want to learn about your rig and how to maintain/modify it.

Its really worth it.

I might be free a few weekends from now, and, if you can wait that long, and are willing to put in the sweat equity, I'll let you pay the iron price instead of the gold.

:D
