Newb With A 1st Gen Xterra

Hello all. I kinda fell into a 1st gen xterra a couple years ago in Florida. It was a 1 owner since New and it would not start one day after the lady spent 1600.00 on it, and she gave it to her son, who sold it to me for 800. I put a distributor in it, and 2 years later, it still runs like new. I moved from central Florida, to Taos, NM, and am waiting on a 2" bl, and am about to do the pml, and am ordering 33'sx10.5's for it, and have a lunchbox locker for it on route from Lokka, for the frony end for now. I am building up on a mountain here, and will be moving there once we are done, and after 1 winter here, driving up from 4500' to about 8800', on a 3.8 mile road, I need to make this thing good for mud and snow, all year and am trying to make this pretty capable overall offroad. I have used these forums to gather much good info, and really appreciate all who contribute, to help those of us new to the Xterras. Its kinda dark now, so I'll try to post a pic tomorrow, before the mods. I also ordered the steering support, and the stock front bumper lowering kit, as 4x4 parts advised me on what I should need. It did far better then expected last winter, but its just too low, and with my stock highway tires, heavy snow was a problem at times. I actually had no problem getting up there after a snowstorm, and the snow was so high that it blew over the bumper yo the windshield, but once the ice packed it, it was a different story. Either way, love the Xterra, and the 12 others I work with were amazed at how stout this thing is for only being stock. I actually pulled out a Ford F250 with a 3" susp lift last year and he had 35x12.5's on it. I also pulled out an f150 ext cab, but it was stock. We have a good sized LS tractor now to fix the road, so im more doing this just to have overkill when I want to explore. Anyway, glad to be here, and again, I appreciate all the wisdom and help on this forum. Thanks.
