Back to the topic at hand. I've been reading that a lot of the NY laws that got passed are confusing and sometimes contradictory. I believe in spot it said possessing over 10 round mags will be a misdemeanor, and in another place it said felony.

Are they legit? I saw a link posted on ARFCOM about them, but their site looks kinda sketch.

Over on m4carbine.net they've got good reviews. It seems their new stuff is high quality, their old stuff had some QC issues. But they've since removed the guy that was causing those issues.

^That's nearly impossible when it comes to gun control/laws discussions.

This includes not bashing of current presidential admin, or any other political (state, local, county, etc) admin. This thread is for logistical discussions, not political venting.

Just thought I'd update this. Found this article ealier.. New York gun confiscation underway an excerpt from the article:

It seems those that tried desperately to warn of such an insidious plot had hit the bullseye with their warnings after all. News came from multiple NY State based firearms enthusiast websites late Friday that confiscations of Pistol Owner ID Cards, as well as firearms and accessories has commenced in NY under the provisions of the horribly flawed, draconian and blatantly unconstitutional NY SAFE Act.
Those folks having their weapons and FID cards confiscated have been discovered to have been prescribed multiple different types of psychotropic drugs, such as those for Depression or Anxiety.

Pretty crazy stuff if you ask me. Here is also a map on gun ownership vs. homocides.

Hard to argue the facts. A picture makes it much easier for people to see.

EDIT: Have to add this for the people that would inevitably say that the data is wrong on the map. It was created by the UN Office of Drugs and Crime. So it is legit.

I just love it when Nanny State Government steps in and tells me what I can and can't do. While I think that something needs to be done regarding mental health issues and gun ownership this is not at all what I had in mind. Very slippery slope. First its those who are being treated for anxiety. Next its anyone who was ever treated by a psychiatrist at any point in their lives. Then, what the hell, everyone.

Well, I have to say I'm happy about the introduced AWB, mag ban, and national gun registration was shot down yesterday. BUT, for all of you that want to actually protect the 2nd amendment keep writing your reps, and if in the financial position to do so donate to the NRA or other pro 2A organizations that will help us. The fight is far from over, as Obummer made it clear he will keep pushing this agenda.
