What's up guys!

Been lurking for a while after I bought my X and I love the info and builds you guys are posting. I hope to keep up on here and meet some locals if at all possible and get out there.
Short story short, I bought the X after I decided to get out of the Army and start a new life. Sold my BMW 135 and never looked back. Was skeptical, but love my decision. 4 months and counting and I'm relocating from GA to Dallas, TX. So hit me up if you're in either location!

A few "so far" photos after owning her for 30 days.

The day I bought her

Anyways, my plans are minimal as I dont want to go crazy with it for now.
Near future: Line-x the front bumper/rub strips
Far future: suspension lift, new front bumper

welcome to the forum. Its amazing how trucks look so much better when you remove the street tires and other non essential parts. If the dealerships modified the trucks to look like yours they would sell more. Off the lot they don't look too offroad worthy.

Just an update from a small trail trip today

And to you guys who have been doing it for a while:
im looking into going with a lift and wanna go with the nisstec/OME lift straight from their site.
As stated earlier, I come from the BMW/Audi world and I know that with any suspension (drop) mods, some sort of drivability/dependability issues always ensue - not to mention adds more strain on the vehicles weak points i.e. steering knuckles, drive shaft, etc.
With a 2in lift kit, is any extra strain placed on the vital points of the rigs steering/drive components?
Would I still see this vehicle all the way to 1xx,xxx miles without issues (other than any I blatantly cause)?
The vehicle wont ever be a rock crawler or a ridiculous trail beast. Just looking to get a bit more clearance and ability out of her.

Thanks for any input guys!

Welcome in sir! I know nisstec makes great products. I too am looking at the nisstec lift kit for my x. I know some of the spacers have some rubbing issues in the coil bucket. From what I have read the nisstec spacers dont have this issue. I can't speak for the Daystar or rough country but someone may be able to chime in on those. Good luck!

Yea, from what I keep reading, guys tend to buy these kits, but then eventually get a full suspension kit later down the road. The way I'm thinking, I may just save a little more cash and do it all out the first time. I'll continue leaning towards either nisstec's bilstein kit or the OME kit.

Can anyone sort of add to this?

Welcome! I love my X more than most things in life, but I do have to say I don't think I could give away a BMW for one. I love Beemers..... Anyways, I like your plans so far!

I'll be honest with ya, it was a tough call. But with getting out of the army, starting a life with a little lady, I needed something more capable.
Been a great decision thus far.

Welcome to the Nation from Colorado!!

Thanks man. CO is somewhere I long to visit. Beautiful state.
Closest I have gotten to seeing it was a two week trip to Colorado springs on business.
