Bought my first 4wd vehicle earlier this year, and I've been enjoying the simplicity of being to work on it without too much trouble. Even with open diffs. at the front and back I've been impressed by how well it does in moderate off-road situations. I'm a novice in the off-road world, so I like to keep it in one piece, as this Xterra is also my DD for a 95 mile commute.
I would love to do a basic build, and add a 3" lift and a locker in the rear. If time/money allow, I'd add a locker to the front. I'm slowly building up my trail gear list, and look to forums like this one for helpful ideas.
