I decided to snag an MTX 4x4 Xterra while on vacation in Florida and drive it home to northern Ohio back in March. Made it with no problems. I have a huge to do list that I hope to have the majority done by fall.

So far I have replaced the headlights, fog lights tires, gutted the interior (removed headliner card for recovering), removed prehistoric plastidip from the wheels, and put new LT235/85R16 sneakers on.

One question though. Do the 1st gen have 2 keys, one for the door and one for the ignition? I'm thinking that they don't and that my Xterra had the ignition switch replaced.

Welcome from Denver!

Single key. Sounds like someone changed your ignition cylinder.
