My first thread...AEM Dry filter

So after recommendations online to go for AEM dropin filter i ordered from amazon and it reached from US.

been in for couple of weeks , much better throttle response , some slight nice noise and the xterra seems more "energitic"!

in here in UAE its always dusty and when the offroad season starts i really want to see how much sand would it filter and how frequent would it need to be washed.

have anyone had good or bad experiences with AEM dry drop in filters on their Xterras?

I haven’t yet figured out a set wash schedule, but I’m running the same filter and performance has been fine. I still have the last paper filter on the shelf that’s in decent condition so that I don’t get stuck if I need to drive and the filter is still damp.

how long have you been using it for? how do you think its best to be cleaned?

I’ve had it since last November. And I’ve only been able to find it online, but I use the AEM filter cleaner spray. Soak it on good and let it sit about 10 minutes, blast it out with water, then let it dry.
