Mpg dropped dramatically

So I've been reading up on mpg forms, (yes I know it's an xterra blah blah) bad mpg I get it. But I did a 2 inch body lift, 33in tires Volant intake, and could do roughly 280 on a full tank. That was in cali. Now in Oregon I can barely get 200 when even in 2wd. What is going on? I'm thinking the air mixer is off? Someone said chip it or pair with anew exhaust to have proper airflow. Anything helps.

Are you going by the actual mileage or the display? Your actual mileage is off about 3.6% with 33s.
I regularly drop about 2-3mpg with winter gas. Factor in heavier tires and it seems about right.

Your numbers aren't out of the realm of reality. As stated, factor in the larger tires, winter gas, climate, etc. It is a possibility. However, you also stated you installed a Volant CAI. To cover all bases, check all connections to ensure you aren't leaking. If there is, this may cause a MPG decrease.

Yeah a couple of the hose clamps used a good turn or two, cleaned the filter, and relocated the spare back under the rear until my tire carrier comes. Fingers crossed

Right? Lol. Only time I got 20 was when I drove to NC from NY lol city driving I'm closer to 15 if I'm careful but if I dick around in the snow or use 4x4 I'm down to 10-11. And I'll add that I'm rarely "careful" lol

Yeah see I was getting those numbers highway when I had the stock 265s in there. Throw some 285s and life is over

If I had it my way they would be 285 but it came with brand new tires so I'm kinda stuck with them lol

But to stay on topic it seems like you are on par with similar set ups if not better lol
I guess I just filled up and calculated 11.2. Moved the spare back under the rear and cleaned the filter. Fingers crossed. How much more will it decrease if I add a rear and front bumper? Thinking about re gearing to help. Sort of off topic, but randomly thought if I can squeeze 3 more mpg and get roughly 300 to a tank. If my rig last 100k more miles to 200k. I'd save 10g in gas money.

Until the battery dies and you have to dispose of it where it will then sit in a land fill for the rest of eternity. Oh and it cost about 10k according to my auto tech professor(this was about 10 years ago)

Lol trust me, I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those. I mean I might if I were actually driving it, but no way
