Minon - VG33 Resurrection/rebuild

Will O'Brien

Test Drive
I have a 2002 Project beast, it's yellow and has now been dubbed 'Minion'.
I picked it up barely running, but it made it onto the trailer up my dirt road, so that was good.
I popped in a new distributor hoping that would sort out the misfires

After doing compression testing and shooting some air into the cylinders, I found that I've got a stuck/burnt/bent intake valve. Sooo the project begins. I'm a fan of overkill maintenance, especially on older cars.

Here's the plan
I'm pulling the heads, will likely pull the block while I'm in there unless the cylinders look amazing.
It's getting the following:
Valve job with +1mm Ferrea Intake valves all around.
Cam regrinds (I have some 300zx cams for cores) Probably 131H grind, maybe a 256H grind.
Maybe a bottom end rebuild depending how bored I am.
Timing belt/waterpump
Offroad gorilla silicone cooling hoses
Replacing all the other hoses while I'm there - intake/pcv, intake hose, etc.
Full aluminum radiator r33/r34 swap, external trans cooler (auto) Edit: Mishimoto rad is on the way.
El cheapo stainless headers
New lifters, some springs in mine are shot.
Tempted to add an oil cooler or at least a remote oil filter so I can up the oil capacity.

Yeah, that's about it. This forum seems to have more engine builders on it, I'd love suggestions as I'm new to the VG engines.
