Looks like a cool event, I've gone in years past. This year has a new team format. I thought I'd post this here as its a trip I commonly get asked about.

It would be that weekend... I'd love to go. However I just handed in my timeoff request for my wife's family reunion that same W/E. Missed GONE now UP.

Are you going back this year?

Yeah this fall sometime. Not with the upo guys though just r&r. Competition in my hobbies makes it stressful for me. Prefer to just wheel at my own pace. Take my kayaks out and enjoy the vacation without dead lines or several campers. Nothing against them they are a terrific group and miss the runs I used to take with them. They know areas that I would have never found otherwise. They can let you see a side of michigan that seems out of this world good. To see the rigs alone makes it worth the drive. The 2 runs I made still stick out in my head as the greatest time wheeling I've ever had. As its about distance, travel, through trails, scenery and survival out of your vehicle. Not a beat your truck up then drive home event.

OMG! That looks awesome! I have a buddy with a cabin in Grand Marais. I love the UP! Would love to swing up there for a scavenger hunt. Maybe next year if this is a yearly thing. I don't have the time off for this year.
