Maintenance advice needed for hi

I just bought a 2011 S with 170k on it. Plugs were just replaced and it runs great. There is nothing in the service records about anything ever being flushed. So I am asking for advice on what to have done first? The tranny, transfer case, differential?

Thanks,

Mike

When I bought mine, I took it in for an oil change and had the transfer case changed and the transmission checked for burnt or low fluid. Next time it was front and rear diffs + oil change. Third oil change was also time for the transmission to be done too (just because). 4th oil change was also drain and refill coolant. So over the course of 9-12 thousand miles all fluids have been changed.

Since you have no idea of the service history, I'd definitely drain and fill the front/rear diffs and transfer case. Do a PMF (poor-man's flush) on the transmission. Drain and fill, drive for a week, drain and fill again. Repeat this about three or four times, until you've replaced most of the fluid in the transmission. It would also do you some good to get a complete brake system flush done, as well as taking a look at the state of your coolant.
