I hope David's camera caught his reaction when they called his name for that bumper, priceless.

Yeah he dropped his beer and went crazy :) It was pretty epic..

No one was expecting the last chance stuff to be a bumper hehehe

Had to do some serious engine and exterior cleaning today since I still had a ton of mud on Mable from Went.
Even after pressure washing the engine bay post-mud here is what it looked like prior to today's cleaning:

After cleaning it with scrubbing bubbles and citrus cleaner from purple power:

Since I also fried a horn and had a dead goose sound - I added in a Wolo Big Bad Max. This thing is pretty large so I actually had to mount it to the volant by drilling a 5/16" hole into it and using a lock washer and nut to fasten it. It definitely sounds like a truck horn and really what I wanted. This was a huge upgrade over my PIAA Superior Bass toned horns, but the only downfall is that it seems like I lost the "doot doot" when I lock the truck. May need to see if I can fix that.
Here's the mount shots:

Added some more hp to the truck too:

Press and hold the lock an unlock buttons on your fob. When the truck blinks, let go. That will toggle the "doot doot" on it. It may have been accidentally disabled.

I really like it. The wife hates how loud it is but oh well. There is only 1 horn and the compressor.
I know the sound didn't get disabled, bc when there is leftover air in the compressor it will do a little doot doot. I may contact wolo and ask them about it.

Well this one has it built in and runs off your factory horn wires. I was already spliced for 2 horns bc I previously had a 2 horn setup that required 4 wires. All I did was clip the splices and go back to 2. Took me maybe 2 mins to install once I realized I had to mount it to the Volant. The horn def sounds like your truck finally dropped its balls.

I can handle that. I just didn't want to have to run a separate auxiliary compressor or something like that haha. Thanks for the info, man!

I'm all for some electrical modding. Clusters are difficult. But it can be done.

In fact, if you really want to do the cluster, buy a spare one off of eBay that you can bench test and perfect the lighting on. Because it's going to take some fiddling. I want to do this also, I think it'll be my next thing after I get my efan done.

^ Or one person buys a cluster does there change, Then the next person buys the spare off of the first... I really need to clean my engine bay like yours. You did such a great job.

So the issue with your new horn sounds like it does not store enough air at any given point to just make the beep beep when locking. Might be just one of those things you have to deal with.

Went ahead and installed all of my leds from VLEDs into the appropriate places on the outside of the truck. The hi-vis amber is a little more yellow than the regular amber for the parking lights, but since it is only being used for my turns on the front, I'm not going to worry.

Super easy install all around - though my hands were too big to reach past my volant on the driver side to do those, so I had to remove it and swap the lights.

The rear was simple for replacement and splicing with 2 taps.
