I'm about to start working on this M205 I bought of of bucksnort. It has 40 or 60k I forget. So when I install my gears and locker into it. I want to replace everything that is needed.

First I am going to get the Major install kit by Rugged Rocks. Besides this I was going to replace the end seals on the diff but I can't find the part #.

I'm also trying to get all the hardware together to mount the M205. So far I know I need the following but no idea on length or part numbers

(12) M205 Halfshaft Flange bolts/nuts (Part #39606-17V0A)
(3) 19mm Diff/Frame Bolts. Nuts for two of these.
(8) 14mm new front DS bolts/nuts ???(Part #37120-JD01A)???
(2) new 32mm halfaxle/hub nuts (Part #40262-2Y00A)
(2) Cotter Pins (Part #
40073-0L700)

Thank you to anyone who can help.

5.) (12) M205 Halfshaft Flange bolts (call brian at Cherry hill Part# 39606-17V0A)
6.) (3) 19mm Diff/Frame Bolts (Part #: 54726-7S000) (to replace the old ones...do not reuse the old ones.) You will need nuts for two of these. (Part #: 08918-3442A)the third one uses a nut that is welded into the frame itself....(you can get all this from Brian at cherry hill)
7.) (8) 14mm new front DS bolts (Part #: 37120-4P00A) /nuts (Part #: 37171-7S00A) (call brian)
8.) (2) new 32mm halfaxle/hub nuts (brian at cherry hill) (Part #: 40262-A60001)
9.) optional - M205 flange seals (Part#: 38542N)

Rook did two threads on the tnx for it. One is on sourcing parts and the second is the actual install. I'm on my phone so I can't link em but they are easy to find in search.

Out if curiosity, what's the diff between 2 and 3 rib?

Sent via wild ferrets on crack

3 rib is a "upgraded" one, titans were experiencing diff failures so when nissan upgraded the diff components they put the third rib on the case.

Along with that i know a snap ring got upgraded to to higher pull out force. You can buy it and just put it in the 2 rib. I know bucksnort runs the 2 rib and has not had any issues.

As stated and the reason I asked was that on the 3 rib design the snap rings for the axles are larger. It was semi common for the driver side axle to pop out of the case on the titans. I had my front driver side axle pop out while I was driving in the snow to a job interview and had to replace the axle since the splines were ground away. If you're already going to be in there buy the new snap rings, like $3-5 a piece and put them on the axles to ensure your driver side axle wont pop out. They will work perfectly with axles you have now, I promise.

Agreed if you're spending the cash for a 205 install another $20 wouldn't hurt.
