Low idle

2007 X, all plugs and wires changed, throttle body cleaned, that gas tank fluid added (all from mechanic), and I still idle at around 600-650, sometimes as low as 500. Its not a rough idle, very smooth, but so low that the truck reverberates and rumbles loud in the cabin. GRANTED, I haven't used up the full tank of gas with the additive (only maybe a few miles) but ive read so many places that the throttle body is the culprit.
IS there any way of adjusting the idle before I have to take it to the dealer.. . which im trying to avoid.

I'm not sure how to go about adjusting it, but I will say that could be normal operation. Mine idles at 650 rpm or so and as you say rumbles a little bit. I think it's programmed in to try and save fuel by idling as low as possible. So if you take it to the dealer, it's possible they will tell you there isn't anything wrong with it, raising the idle would be a desired modification.

I'm not absolutely sure, but a programmer like a Bullydog may be able to adjust idle, but I don't know that. Might check the websites of a few tuners and see if that is a programmable parameter.

addresses rough idle with AC on or when the AC compressor turns on. looks like they reprogram the ECU. but i see you have a 07. had this done on my 12. they update the ECU with the new idle. bullydog is another way of adjusting it.

Ok, so heres the update... . . . took to another shop to diagnose why the low, sometimes fickle idle, and found the O2 sensors were off chart. Showed me the computer details and all. They THOUGHT it was that I needed a new throttle body, but did more detailed tests. Their take on it is that when I had the plugs and wires changed at the original shop, they hit a sensor or something like that. Because the idle was fine UNTIL I had the plugs and wires changed. They will do the O2 sensors tomorrow morning and recalibrate the throttle body. $550 later, I will let y'all know what the outcome is. . . .Losing my patience with this one private garage. They even wanted to charge me a new battery ($175), but the place im taking to have the O2 sensors done did a battery test and found its fine, just needed a terminal cleaning.... $10. UGH
F**K MY LIFE.. .. .

FRUSTRATED AS H*LL.
VERDICT: Still idles at around 600.
Plugs/wires replaced, throttle body cleaned, fuel system cleaned, O2 sensors replaced, tranny fluid changed, new radiator.
ALL types of diagnostic tests done at 2 different places. Showed only O2 sensors off (which are now replaced.
Supposive Idle air intake relearn was done.
TRUCK DOES NOT: idle rough, hesitate on pick up, skip or lose power, idle to low to stall out.
ONLY thing that is obvious other then the very low idle is that when warmed up, the idle DOES NOT change when in park, drive or reverse. Just stays at about 600-650.
>>>>Could this be a vacuum leak in the tranny or somewhere that diagnostic testing will not pick up??

My truck idles at that number did from the factory and left it set that way with the bully dog. When I first fire it up it will be at about 1k then work its way down to 650. I think your hunting a demand that does not exists. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Met. . . im hoping that's the case too. . . .I think I just want to hear that from more and more people. Im thinking of going to the dealer NOT to have another diag test done, but to explain all this to them and get their 2 cents too. . . .
All in all... ..at a 600rpm idle. . .. its so smooth .. . .HA!!!!
