I’ll post more details later, but planning on exploring the “other side” of Long Run Rd leaving Saturday late morning. We’ll be camping that night at Bald Knob (or elsewhere on the trail) but at least one person is doing just a day trip Saturday.

Long Run Rd from the church to Second Mtn/Dictum Ridge is closed by the power company. Instead of that route we’re leaving I-81 near New Market through Fulks Run and catching Long Run Rd from the north side.

Let me see what's going on. I might be able to day trip this. Doubt I can do an overnight though.

We’re leaving the Fairfax area around 10:30. If you come do you want to meet up here (Manassass - Haymarket) or out there?
it's kind of a short notice and i have some stuff to do so probably wont make it. i might start painting my front bumper too

I think I hit a puddle somewhere… There was a lot of dust but the wind has mostly taken care of that.

We ended up camping farther down to get out of the wind but came back up this morning for coffee and to hang out here. Currently posting this from a hammock just to the left of this photo.

That's a beautiful spot! Wish I was there with you. I was afraid I was still gonna be down below you this morning for a few minutes....
