I wanna thread. I wanna thread. I'm going to type a few lines of BS so that those who seem the preview can't see the spoilers.

I hate spoilers. So I wanna make sure not to spoil this movie for anyone.

That said, let's get to this.

I wasn't blown away. It had the violence that I've always wanted from Wolverine. It's been 17 years and they finally took the rubber tips off those claws.

But.

There was no closure for the characters. I mean we all knew going in that this was the end of Jackman as Wolverine. And the last time we'd see Patrick Stewart as Xavier. But for them to just die like that was lame. There was no defining moment in the action. There was just a lot of action. Once the plot devices were set, it was fairly formulaic.

I didn't appreciate how they neutered Caliban.

Blah blah blah blah

No spoiler edit blah blah blah blah

Blah.

The thing I have a problem with is her having adamantium already. How is she supposed to grow? Lol.

All in all I thought it was pretty good. But I agree I hated the way professor x died. He seemed like a needless character.

I loved it. It was brutal and delicious, but you're right - the deaths were kinda empty.

It wasn't even that it was a good superhero movie; it was just a damn good movie. Little on the longer side, few plot holes, but whatever.

Saw it last night - 2 issues I had -

1. No explanation about what happened to the Xmen nor mutants in general
a. It was alluded that Transigen wipe out mutants but they never went into how nor why or why didn't anyone stop them

2. No explanation about why wolverine was losing his healing factor
a. I know in the comics he supposedly gets some form of virus (stupid) that takes away his healing factor, but not once in the movie did they say anything about it other than him saying "I know why" or something like that.

Overall I thought it was the best Wolverine movie, but not necessarily the best Xmen related movie. I still think First Class takes the cake there. The mutant kids were pretty pointless overall, especially the scene where they are all attacking Pierce...it was too reminiscent of the cheese factor Bryan Singer does in any movie he directs. The fight scenes were cool and Wolverine and X23 just murdering people was finally what was needed in a Wolvie movie.

Overall I gave it a 7/10. I think the two things above each knocked off a point and they could have cut the film down by about 20-30mins of useless time filler and/or removed the Wolverine clone and made it Daken instead if they wanted to stick with a Wolverine's family thing.

For #2 the adamantium was poisoning him. I agree with 1. I would have liked more explanation.
