I've been eyeballing the blue one. I put that and the Xancudo on my Christmas list, but if one pops up super cheap today with an extra veteran discount on top I might have to do it.

Speaking of, any vets eligible to shop at AAFES online (shopmyexchange.com) there's a big Benchmade sale. Here's just a snippet:

Lemme look, I just got an email from Esee thanking Vets although even with a discount the 4 would cost way more than this from them..

Couldn't locate a suitable piece of leather so I ordered a dbl sided strop and some compounds to try my hand at polishing. Took awhile to get in the groove but slicing paper like butter now..20221121_210653.jpg

Got my XPAT Knives "Darien" machete in. I'm sorta disappointed it didn't have an ESEE marking or come in a box from the factory, just a bag but.. I like it.20221122_091456.jpg20221122_091525.jpg
Amazon beat prices from factory, ebay and other internet dealers..

Got another SAK. Picked up a Deluxe Tinker for a good price from scAmazon. Paired it with my Xancudo today.

Sat down and stropped it tonight and it's hair popping sharp now.

The Deluxe Tinker has pliers and scissors and instead of a cork screw, it has a Phillips head screwdriver on the back.

Ok, wanting to get rid of some blades that aren't seeing the use I think they should. I keep defaulting to only a few blades that aren't pictured.

I like all these knives but I they need used and I need space.

Posted here and to a couple small chat groups to give y'all first refusal.

Got another one of the collection in. I can really see myself edc'n the Esee AGK, Ashley Game Knife! Perfect size blade and handle, good balance and thickness. The last few Esee's I've gotten in have made it right to the faves list..20221201_184335.jpg

The thing I don't get about the Esee black oxide finishes is some have the backbone, or whatever it's called, coated and some don't. I wish they were totally coated minus the cutting edge for rust prevention. My CR2.5 has a smidgen of rust because I didn't notice it after cleaning and storing..20221205_132445.jpg20221205_134313.jpg

I just think it's funny. I couldn't buy beer yesterday because my 16y/o daughter was with me but if her 11y/o sister had been with me instead it would be fine. It's ufcking insane
Ok that ufcking sucks. The fact that society has gotten so ufcked that an adult cant buy beer because a 16 year old is with them is deplorable. Almost like the Canadian government. Oops did i say too much .

Yeah I’m thoroughly confused as well. Did you not have your ID or something?
Nope, had my id.
There was a questionable minor with him. How did they know they were related and he wasn't buying for her.

It's dumb
Ding ding ding. If it had been my wife and she didn't have her ID, I would have been refused as well.

Two other cashiers and two customers all acting confused about it as well. Apparently only myself and the cashier checking me out were aware. I didn't even think about it till time came to ring it up..... I typically send her outside before I get in line to keep that from happening.

These laws are insane and all to protect stupid people from themselves.
