I know a fair number of you go kayaking or SUP-ing, etc. Let's see those pics of you in action on the water or the water equipment creatively mounted on your rig. Let us know where you went paddling and what kind of boat you're in. :)

I'll start. I'm disappointed by the few pics I have found of me kayaking. Sad.

2009 Warm Lake, ID (and my stock X!):

Back in 2012 at Lucky Peak State Park:

I used the Yakima Mako Aero Saddles attached to the stock X roof rack.

The boat is an Old Town Otter. I've had it since 2002 and have used it all over the U.S. It's certainly served me well.

This is an inflatable (don't remember brand) borrowed to run the Boise River through Boise, ID (2013):

This was before I got a roof rack. The kayak was soooooo not stable with the straps over the roof on foam blocks tie-down method.

Now I have Yakima 1A gutter mounts with 78" bars:

The second boat is a Wilderness Systems Tsunami 135. I rented it for the day. LOVED it! Now trying to find a touring 14'-er :)

Nice pics, Idaho is beautiful.

My primary Kayak is a 12' Perception Patriot set up for fishing. I also have a 9'6" Mainstream streak, but I don't use it as much, mostly a loaner to friends/familiy.

I used to only be able to take one kayak with the stock rack, but I got some inexpensive (~$60 for the pair) J bars that mount directly to my insert rack, now I can take both side by side.

I mostly kayak lakes and fish up in the creek channels that feed into them. I have a lot more kayaking pics, but it would take forever to dig them up.

We love to paddle Lake Superior, the clarity and beauty make it a must do every fall.

Nice pics!
I'm thinking about picking up an Ascend fs12t for myself and a 10 foot kayak of some kind for my wife. My concern is, will I be able to attach both kayaks to stock rack? (gen2) I do have a set of J-mounts that I picked up very inexpensive. I measured out 12' and it seems huge...
I have not actually been to basspro yet where they sell the kayak, so I have not seen it in person. They do not have one in VT.:weep: I would hate to find out for whatever reason that I wont be able to fit both. It looks like from what Airmapper posted that I shouldn't have a problem, But I don't have a fancy rack like that.
Thanks guys!
