Leaf Spring Lift Confusion??

Newbie here... I have an '04 X with a broken rear leaf spring. When looking for a replacement part I decided to go ahead and get something beefier as I like doing a lot of off-roading. I did a lot of research, but ultimately I think I have just confused myself and could use some clarification on parts and options. I'm afraid I've ordered the wrong parts, and it is too late to return them.

What I already have purchased:
From 4wheelparts.com
-- ARB Old Man Emu Leaf Spring - CS005RB (x2)
4wheelparts said they'll fit my vehicle.... but the mechanic initially said no.
--ARB Rear Shackle And Pin Kit - OMEGS12
I didn't realize these didn't have bushings so now I need those as well, but I can't figure out which part # I need.
From Newparts.com
--- 2 x Bilstein 24-187824 Front B6 4600 Shock Absorbers
--- 2 x Bilstein 24-184908 Rear B6 4600 Shock Absorbers

What I still need (I think)
--- bushings:
--- Ubolts: I can't figure out which size. Another shop which specializes in 4x4 suspension quoted me 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" but I'm not certain if that was taking in to consideration the leaf springs I purchased?

Do I still need to do some mods to my Upper Control Arm?

Please Help!

The mechanic currently has it up and waiting for some stock leaf springs he ordered before he was able to talk to me. I am wondering if I should just back out of the beefier lift and let him put stock on and go for a PML later or just ditch the lift altogether.
$$ is VERY limited and I've already surpassed my budget. :(

** If I am way off, please don't judge... I am still learning lol. This is my first time having a mechanic do a big install for me so I was super anxious about not having everything I needed and also felt rushed to get this job done. I normally do the work myself but sprained my shoulder and it's taken too long to heal, so I decided to suck it up and bring it to the most affordable / highest rated mechanic I could find. He said he could do leaf springs, but they aren't his specialty.

That spring part number crosses to a Land Cruiser according to ARB/OME.

It doesn't look like OME makes a set of springs for the 1st Gen Xterra according to their website. You'll probably have to stick with the stock ones for now, return the OME springs to 4WP and look into a good AAL setup for the time being.

When it comes to buying offroad parts, search the manufacturer website first to make sure they make the parts you need. Then search vendors using the part numbers you pulled from the manufacturer website.

4WP online catalog has gone to crap in the last 5 years. They no longer sort products properly by vehicle so they showed you a list of "universal" parts that are categorized incorrectly by the folks entering the data for them. That's where the mistake happened.

Hey man we dont judge or roast you here. We have all been there.

I dont think those leaf springs fit. Like Terry said, that number is a land cruiser spring. I suppose you could compare it and see, but I'm guessing they dont work. I've seen that shackle and pin kit before, its universal so its likely you could make that work, but what bushings are they missing? I always thought those came complete. But, the bushing you need likely has to match the leaf spring you are using. Now generic research says those ARB springs fit (among others) an 85 Land cruiser. According to General springs website, springs for an ’85 Land cruiser measure 22 ¼ x 25 3/8, and are roughly 2 ¾ wide. The same website shows the stock Nissan springs for your year Xterra measure 27 3/8 x 26 and are 2 3/8” wide. Based on those armchair numbers, I would say you would have trouble getting those to fit.

As for the U bolts, that will again depend on what spring you end up using. When I replaced my factory springs, I used round bend, 1/2" x 3" x 6. I would assume the 8.5" they quoted you is for the additional spring thickness.

General Spring makes the only direct stock replacement as far as I know. There's a few AAL options. Calmini, 4x4Parts. And then you go full pack like Deaver or Alcan.

The other option is to go to a local spring shop and have them build you something.

Ugh! This is really good to know about 4wheelparts going to crap. I hadn't heard that until now but with all the answers I'm getting about these not fitting, I was wondering. I'm pissed because it's too late to return them so now I just have to find someone to buy them off me and will probably take a big loss.

The first gen stuff doesn't seem to exist anywhere. I'm learning there's a whole lot of trying to figure out what parts made for other vehicles will work.

I super appreciate those measurements you looked up. Thanks for that!
