Brandon - It's actually from her pulling out two stuck Jeeps and a crappy job the last guy did of the clutch a year and a half ago.

Yes, Jason, Allen is doing the repairs.

Sir yes sir. And the local forums too. I know XN is obviously nation wide, but a few guys from my home forum stepped in with help when the X first broke down. That's why the Xterra world is AWESOME!

I know more folks would have stepped up, too, if your mishap had happened close to where they lived. I've been a part of several other vehicle-based forum communities, and it wasn't until I became part of the Xterra community that I found people to be nice and helpful.

True, we were in an awkward place when we broke down. One person 3 hours away, another 6, lol it just wasn't our day at all.

eww something stinks in here :D

i keeed!

Hey Ronaldo.... I don't remember letting you out of your cage just yet. Bad dog!

Haha let me find that video and I'll post it either here or on Facebook.

Oh and I don't know if I mentioned this or not - but the same jeep that we pulled out not only broke another fan, but also fried the alternator in the mud. Needless to say - the poor kid felt pretty crappy afterwards.

Sure did. It was a pretty rough day. Em's truck is mostly fixed, but she's still got a little bit of an issue with the clutch being too soft.

Well hopefully every thing gets all fixed soon, and have you found and good spots up there to get jenny dirty yet or still looking o_O?

did ya'll get it fixed yet? or are ya still fighting the clutch softness? I presume you've already bled the clutch fluid to make sure there aren't any bubbles there, if not, try that. if the clutch plate itself was replaced, was the rest of the assembly? Pressure Plate? Any possibility to step up to a higher performance clutch system?

We worked on her truck yesterday. As far as that goes, I'd like to keep that info in PM form only since this is my build thread, not hers.

No harm done. I'll PM you soon.

UPDATE:

I realize that the pics are not working currently - however that'll be fixed asap.

I haven't been able to mod anything on the X lately due to fixing this and that every few months.
Now it's the valve gasket cover and I'm outta tools.

Just replaced the oil pressure switch.
I'm trying to get the most out of my tires (BFG AT KOs).

I don't really plan on doing any offroading out here in CO until I can get everything fixed on her.

Registration comes first lol
Then tires, and a tune up.

Wow. It has been a while since you updated. I hope you're able to get everything fixed. I always look forward to Colorado wheeling pics. :)

No Nismo, I haven't been able to. I have NO tools whatsoever. And I don't really talk to Emily that much anymore so I'd rather not call to borrow.

Go to AutoZone and ask to borrow a screw driver. Seriously. They've got a box behind the counter for such occasions.

Valve cover has been tightened, but she's still leaking oil pretty bad. Guess it's time to check out Rock Auto for a new gasket, and Harbour Freight for tools. Yay!

Has it really been almost a year since I've updated this thing. Dang.

So - I'm still hanging out in good ole Colorado.
The X is running pretty good considering she needs a decent tune up and some repair. 144k on the odometer right now.

Just recently got a set of 2 Cooper Discover ATP 265/70/R16s for the rear. So far they've done really nice in the snow out here. Looking to get another set for the front once I get the alignment done and get some taxes back.

I did find a new set of Hellas for my brush guard, but I'm debating on just chucking the whole guard since it's beat up anyways - and my old roommate backed into the Ralley lights I have had on there forever. There aren't really any new mods in mind otherwise until I get the maintenance done.

OH! And I have acquired a few more stickers thanks to the guys at work.

Pics to come later.

Hell, if you decide you want more Hellas let me know, I'll send you my pair of 500's for shipping, once I get my LED's installed in the grille...

Thats a generous offer. If she doesn't want them I bet someone here might trade you some thin green paper for them.

Also, I want to see some sticker pron Kris..

Eh, it's mostly cause I know she's use em and has a pretty tight budget...if she doesn't want em, I may leave em where they are and just wait for a new bumper for the LED's

Dude, if you've still got these I'd totally be down to take them off your hands. If not, no worries. All is understood.

So.... Jenny. She's back in business.

Within the past few weeks we've replaced the starter that of course had to go out at the most imperfect time. Finally got both valve cover gaskets done.
The passenger side was cracked in 6 different places, and the driver's side had one crack. Obviously they were both hard as a rock as well. Found out my 6th spark plug wire was broken in half. Had to buy a new set of those. And boom! She's back up and purring.

Not much has changed otherwise. Oh I did accidentally pile drive this rock leaving for work one day. Busted the rear shock, and thankfully nothing else.

Thanks guys.

I met up with the Blueberry last night for trivia out in Broomfield.
Seems like a swell guy for sure.
Jenny made a new friend.

So those little Ralle lights I used to have on the brush guard ended up broken and hanging by a wire. I got tired of bungeeing them back in place so I finally took them off and ended up with a free set of these bad boys:
