Traded off a pmag for a crkt BNIB the other day. Ill have to throw up a pic. I must admit, I'm very impressed with the blade on it. It's much better than my kershaw.

I always have a knife on me. The problem is, I'm cheap about it. I tend to buy Kershaw knives because of the cam assisted opening. I'd like a good Benchmade, but I can't justify the coin required.

Benchmade is definitely worth the coin if you can justify it, but there are also many good options out there that are not quite as pricey (such as Kershaw).

For the longest time I've always had a a Kershaw Ken Onion all blacked out w/ a partially serrated blade. I went through four of those in the last few years b/t breaking them and losing them. I'm on a different Kershaw at the moment. One of my best friends gave it to me for being in his wedding. It's a little smaller than I'm used to, but it's still quality.

My one thing is that I always have to have a locking blade. I have an awesome scar on my thumb from a non locking knife (Swiss army if I remember correctly).

I'm just too absent minded to spend a good amount of money for a knife. I'd love to have one, but I'd lose it. Or break it. Same reason I buy Target sunglasses.

Yeah, I have a pretty good scar on my right index finger where a swiss army knife folded down on my finger as a kid, probably deserved it though, wasn't exactly being responsible with it :D

Spyderco has some really good knives as well long lasting, and made in USA... The s30v will stay sharp a very long time and from what I've found spyderco has the best price on them

Most Spyderco are made in the USA, I have one I found cheap that was made in China, still a good knife though. Another good brand if you like Kershaw is Zero Tolerance. Made by Kai USA like Kershaw, but American made like Benchmade and a majority of the Spyderco, and a little higher quality (most knifes range from about $150 range to as high as about $300).

Here ya go... Some of the best, most unpleasant knives and knife techniques in history. Silat has a wicked approach.

That said.... I still love a well-made and balanced balisong. Unfortunately, they're still illegal to own/carry in Texas. So, I've just got my lovin' leuku, pilot survival knife, and multi-tool types.

I rock a Fox Karambit Knife with the Emerson wave feature. It's what the Italian special forces are rocking.

Sheaths faster than a switch blade.

When in traditional carry, the ring can be used as pinky protection almost giving that brass knuckle feel. However, when flipped around (as most karambits are used) it can be used to break foes' fingers; pretty nifty technique.

Theres a technique on the knife that goes through the opponents eye, back out the other eyeball. With this, you have the opponents nasal bone (don't know what it's called) and have full control on the takedown, or death.

Karambita were once used as a farming tool in the Philippines and Malaysia. Soon it became very popular in tactical environments and martial artists worldwide. Very interesting knife.

Thanks man.

The curvature not only makes it a distinguishable weapon, but is used for swift technique and going around areas where a normal knife wouldn't go; such as the neck area. Able to rip out the Adam's Apple with a puncture and pull. Rather, with a normal blade, it'd be stab, pry/gut, and then pull. But honestly this all depends on the operator and the experience they've obtained. Most martial art experts would rather bring a knife or stick to a gun fight.

Not a knife, but a new bladed toy. Throwing tomahawk from New West Knives/Mt. Man Toys.

That is sweet!!! I need one of those myself

You should check them out! The company makes some great knives too (I have several kitchen knives from them). If you like them on Facebook, they send a lot of discount notices out. It's nice buying from a small company like that too (they're in Wyoming).
