As many of you are with the X and doing your mechanical own work that's me on the computer. I'm a vb coder, SQL database administrator, server admin, gaming box builder and tech support for my entire family (no apple!). The Keepass password manager is the most important piece of software I use... hands down.

1. It's free as free could be. No ads. No nothing.
2. It manages all of your accounts and password as well as any other information you'd like to store. I have my credit card info and the data on my family like SSNs and such stored there.
3. It is ridiculously secure. It even encrypts your passwords in memory when they are copied over.
4. You can set up auto login so you go to the login at a site like Xterranation, click in the username field and hit the hotkey. You are automatically logged in.
5. Lets you have extremely long, complicated and unique passwords as you don't have to remember them
6. It's a tiny little app with an install directory size of 6.8 MB and the database is only 118 KB (for example)
7. If you place your database file in a folder synced by Google Drive then it's automatically updated on your android phone so you're always on the latest data version. Apple may have a Google Drive app but I'm not sure. They do have a keepass compatible app.
8. You now need to remember only one password rather than one per site
9. It can generate password for you using any pattern you like or one of the preset patterns
10. Yes there are some online solutions and even your browser will remember password. However I don't want ANYONE having my information so I keep it local and under my control.

Let me know if you need help if you would care to get it going. Very easy to use and absolutely vital to my daily activity. Once you've got it running with your most used accounts you'll be glad you did. For banking it's very important because of it's high level of security and the super long and complicated passwords you should be running for your banking, credit cards, insurance or anywhere someone could spend your money if they got in.

P.S. What's the most important password you have?

I can't imagine switching to something else however it's nice to know that there is another option. At least, based on the name, it's a build based on keepass architecture so that does peak some interest. I have my own web server and I use to run OwnCloud for a really long time but Google Drive was so much easier and it automatically worked on all my devices so that's why I switched. My brother uses Carbonite but I'm not paying for something I can get for free. Then again he's a large animal vet and knows about computers about as much as I do about an electro-ejaculators.

Electro-ejaculators are great as they really speed up the semen collection process for cows. Can't use 'em on horses though... people think they're pets. - my brother

KERRRRRRRRR ZAP!
