Well I just realized how long it has been since I have posted anything, and man has a lot changed, from windrock and the body damage that it bestowed from another trip as well as upgrades I have done since last winter.:)

I will just put a couple photos up for now and do a full post at the end of October when I have put two more plug wires in the X to have enough power ;)

It's good to see an update on this thing, can't wait to see more of it!
Thanks man! Between the end of august, September, and October it should have another 3-4 posts worth of updates, with possibly a first from my understanding at least in a first gen. At some point I need to come out to one of the two xterra event's and see your rig!

The two plug wire swap was a success! it added another 130hp! Both of them fit surprisingly well underneath the hood of the x.

All Jokes aside I have completed the functional part of the swap (How the front core support will look isn't finished) from an 5.3 05 Silverado. This is mated to a 4l60e and a NP241C. It has been redubbed the LS^x

I have lots of photos to dump and lots to write up over the next week or two, but I wheeled it this past weekend and man was the swap worth it (I have $300 into the swap after selling parts off of my $400 donor truck)

There are some things I am going to come back to and re-do (Like the headers) but it at least works for the momentIMG_3009.jpgIMG_3010.jpgIMG_2998.jpgIMG_3007.jpgIMG_2967.jpgIMG_3016.jpgIMG_3019.jpgIMG_3005.jpgIMG_3003.jpgIMG_3015.jpg

Well I can truly say the LS has made this thing way better! Its got the power to actually spin the tires as fast or as slow as you want while wheeling with the lower 1st gear and lower low range plus the extra 120hp helps too. One of the biggest things I have learned in the whole swap is that a pre-made stand-alone harness is the way to go. While I have gotten this trimmed-down harness to work reliably it has taken more time, and looks nowhere near as clean as it would with a premade harness. Also I have redone the spring setup now and everything is a bit better done. Now I am running 8.5" BDS suspension xj lift coils which are considerably stiff and much more fitting spring rate than the rough country springs. It is even better at snow wheeling now that it was before as not only now it can float it can also spin them fast.
