Just got my 2007 Xterra home today

I flew out to CA on Saturday to check this out, and I bought it! Canceled my return flight and drove it home. Got a windshield chip on the way but no other new damage... definitely started out with several to-do items on this! Going camping this weekend so I'm gonna be in a bit of a rush for the less optional to-do's...

Picture attached from my home state but actually still about an hour away

Thanks for the welcomes... unfortunately I failed emissions this morning. Hoping I don't have to replace the cats... P0300, P0420, P0430 and high NOx.

Pulled the codes myself (I got the three I previously mentioned in the emissions report) and there's also a pending code for P0171 (System too Lean Bank 1)

Thanks Prime for the O2 sensor suggestion - that's a fix I can probably do myself (did it on my other car a couple of years ago) so I'm hoping that's all I gotta do.

Found these three threads in this forum that I'm going to read pretty carefully if that doesn't help:

What I've done so far, yesterday and the day before:
- Replaced engine air filter & cabin air filters
- Changed oil (and oil filter)
- Replaced both upstream O2 sensors
- Replaced serpentine belt & its tensioner
- Cleaned the throttle body
- Cleaned the MAF sensor
- Replaced spark plugs
- Replaced intake manifold gaskets

P0420 went off again anyway... I've scheduled an appointment at the nearby dealership for a diagnostic. I don't know if I can take this camping tomorrow (2 hrs there) or if I should just use a different vehicle this weekend. At least I haven't seen any pending or logged misfires today. I'm out of my depth here, had to get friends to help me with half of what I've done to it, and there's only one thing I haven't tried yet that I know I can do with the tools available to me (except replacing the coil packs but I've heard those are expensive.) That's unplugging the battery for a bit to force the ECU to relearn things from scratch - but I've heard from a friend that may cause problems with the radio? I've got the stock radio still, do y'all know if disconnecting the battery causes any kind of anti-theft BS with it? I don't see anything about that in the manual.

If it's the basic radio, you'll just lose your presets and adjustments.

Camping went great. Emissions issue resolution, not so good, still in progress. After several attempts to fix it myself by replacing or cleaning various parts, I took it to the local Nissan dealership and paid for a diagnostic. The cats are illegal aftermarket pieces of crap. I took them out this afternoon and am having trouble seating the new driver's side cat, see attached photo. Bought new cats directly from Nissan so they should fit, but... it just WON'T rotate to a position where it fits! I'm having trouble figuring out what's up. Not sure what else has been messed with on my exhaust system.

If it’s just not reaching you might try undoing the exhaust hangers.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll seriously consider any ideas at this point, but unfortunately it's not enough - they are off right now. It's rotated wrong. My pictures aren't very clear about the issue, I can't figure out an angle that really shows the whole problem. I'm currently working on reinstalling the old cat on that side so I can take it to a muffler shop and ask them to cut and weld the pipe at the correct angle. Based on the service manual I found, I don't think my exhaust is that close to stock. It looked so boring I had thought it was stock at the dealership...
