I'm sure most of you have noticed I have been away for some time, I haven't forgotten about the X. Or the helpful community you all are.
I just had something else sitting in front of me taking most of my time (and money).

I needed something more reliable and something I had been wanting since my Senior year of High School. I bought this back in May of 2015 with 35K on it, I am quite happy with it. Including finding a NON hatch version.

2012 Subaru Impreza STi Limited World Rally Blue

Mods:

  • Invidia Catless Downpipe
  • GFB Deceptor Pro Blow-Off valve
  • Nameless Muffler Delete
  • COBB SF Intake W/ Airbox
  • COBB AccessPort
  • BFG G-Force Comp2 A/S Tires
So far its quite mild compared to most WRX's and STI's around that I've seen. And by no means is it slow. Or quiet.

I know, It's dirty. It does need a good wash and some good wax.

It sounds great. I love the deep rumbles, can't stand fart cans. The body seems to be lacking some sort of accent colors though...the details of the car don't really stand out with the eye catching all that blue. If it were me, I'd be messing with those headlights too, they need to be blacked out on the backside imo.

Nah man. Snail powered sedan over a wagon.

I do like the WRX Wagons and Forester XT's though.
But STI vs STI... Sedan every time.

'dat Subaru sound tho! (One reason to not change from un-equal length header to equal length.)
I wanna do something to the exterior of it but when I bring out ideas all my local peoples shoot them down.
I mentioned more green. But they said "No, Not a rally car." So I guess black. Everywhere... Hood scoop and bumper corner inserts. Maybe the trim above the license plate.
But anytime I mention modding it. They go crazy and shut me down right off the bat. Guess I'll just do it and rock it and see how it goes.

Also on headlights.

That seems like it would look nice.

I kinda want to put lift spacers on it, Because car is low.

And if you say I shouldn't... Spend some time with a low car in WV, You'll understand my reasoning to do so.

That and... Rally car FTW...

Well this happened today around 2 PM on my way to work.

Looks like the little things that needed fixed are getting fixed faster than I planned.

And my quick fix to be able to get home after work.

Tomorrow I get to make a trip to the local body shop and see how bad off it really is.

Did that so I'm slightly legal again.
Bumper and hood to come before long.

Besides the suspension work you were thinking of doing I would definitely get a Killer B oil pickup tube ASAP. I have seen too many fail around the 40-60 thousand mile range. Without an oil pressure gauge by the time you see the dummy light your engine is already toasted. Cheap insurance for an expensive motor. Have you looked into a Electronic Boost Control Solenoid (EBCS) ? Very easy mod to do and you dont have to tune for it. It will make your boost come on early and hold very good. Also makes tuning the car alot easier if you get ProTuned somewhere and get rid of the off the shelp mapping on the accessport. I sold a 2006 Sti before buying the Xterra. Any updates on the front end?

Well I'm right in that range.
And no I have not looked at anything as of late for the car. Just been trying to get everything else sorted out.

Hope everything is going well with your Sti. Here is mine before I sold it. Within the next couple years I'll be tracking down a 2007 WRB Forester that will get a full Sti swap. Enough room to fit the kids and luggage and pull on muscle cars in a wagon. Winning!!
