Is Factory Bumper Winch Mount Possible?

I would like to install a Smitty Bilt winch I'll be picking up on black Friday. I do not however have an after market off road bumper. Are there any resources that may be out there or has any one attempted this install with a factory bumper?

Not really. There was a guy a few years ago that was going to make winch plates that just sat on the frame horns and replaced the lower part of the bumper, but it never came to fruition. So get your black Friday which and start saving for a bumper. You need one anyway. Your approach angle will thank you.

well I fabricated my rear bumper with swing arm. So I guess its time to do the front. not that I don't like the bumpers out there. I just enjoy the process of fabing up my own. Also saving a large chunk of money doing the DIY. But I figured it was worth the ask.

I know on the other forum there is a descent thread on how somebody built their own winch mount for stock bumper. Just can’t remember who did it. All the other companies that offer this baisicly copied the idea with similarities

I just installed a warn8500 winch with my factory bumper was just a little bit of plastic modification and a PRG mount
