Ironman Leaf Springs

Has anyone heard anything about these leaf springs? I can’t find any videos or reviews other than the couple on the actual page. Wondering how they hold up over time. Up to 660 lbs would be within my usage I think.

Edit: I just pulled the trigger on them. Their customer service has been pretty awesome, so if they’re bad I’m pretty confident they’ll honor the three year warranty. Including bushings and with tax, total was $363 shipped, or less than half the price of the other ones I was after. I’ll be the guinea pig for that price.

Jon has an Iron Man kit on that Lexus and has their shocks on the back of his Xterra. He's been really pleased with how they work. I'd say their leaves will perform well too.
Glad to hear that.
I'm anxiously awaiting a review because I'm going to need springs when I finish my bumper. Adding a tire carrier to it so there's going to be some extra weight.
I’ll report back!

Just updating this thread in case other people stumble upon it. The leaf springs are massive and seem to be good quality. The comparison images are to my stock leaf pack (~80k) with a 2” AAL added last year. Immediate lift was 1.5” more than what I had, but I anticipate that settling down a bit. I’ll update on the ride quality on and off road once I have them on a few weeks.

For $300 shipped (25% off suspension sale) I’m quite pleased.

Turns out the clamp on the overload is not compatible with the Shrock fuel skid brace. I heard a clunk today and looks like I actually bent it. This bracket isn’t essential (not included in the Frontier version) but I’ll probably see if a local fabricator can do a different bracket that has more angles instead of sloping down. I would. That thing is gonna hang you up on any decent sized rock
That would solve my contact issue too. Any drawback to removing the overload?

If I did that, should I put in a short one just so there’s something between the round bottom spring and my flip kit bash plate?

This one is definitely longer than stock and I did have the thought that even though it’s not the low point, my tire can drop off a rock and catch on it (but maybe that’s what you mean vs the front).

Honestly, I'd just pull it. Alcan and other replacements don't come with one. It's really only there to prevent reverse arching of the springs under extreme weight. Which should never be an issue in the X.

@ffxcores, I Just ordered a pair myself last week for the same pricing and shipped out today. How have yours been so far with break-in? Are you running just the ironman leaves or did you add the AAL back into the mix? What's your rear config with tires, shackles and leaves for resulting wheel arch height? Curious for the end lift results when they're claimed as about 2" lift and you stated 1.5" initially. Trying to get back to the 38-38.5" wheel arch height I had before and they seemed to fit the bill. Do I need to buy Wheaties?

I have them just how they came and with a 2° shim under the centering pin. Otherwise everything else is stock. Mine came up 1.5” over the previous, but the previous was a 2” AAL with my floppy stock leaf springs. So if you’re coming from just stock, it might be well over 2” of lift (assuming your stock ones like mine were sagging).

I measure from the top of the hub (since there’s a little gap there to grab the measuring tape) to the arch so tire pressure and all that doesn’t impact the measurement. That was 21.5” last I checked. I can try and grab a wheel arch measurement from the ground next time I’m somewhere level. Problem is unless they settle down a little, that may be a while because I can’t fit in the garage with the RTT thanks to the leaf springs and some bulk I added to the actual tent.

Thx. That helps a lot. My setup now is the same factory with dual AAL. But I also have PRG shackles lowest setting and on 33’s. Sounds like I should be fine with just the Ironman pack. Gotta measure from the hub now to compare to your #’s

I’m at about 37 3/8” with RTT, awning, and a bunch of gear in the back, on the slight downhill side of the driveway (pic for reference of slope). 265-75-16 (31.5” if I remember correctly). I’m thinking you’ll be pretty happy with the result.

@SledheadX how did they work out for you?

for anyone else, they’re doing 25% off again with code SITEWIDE25 through July 4th at least.

I still highly recommend the leaf springs

I haven’t installed them yet. I neglected to add the bushings to the original order and they’ve been back ordered since I realized. As of now, I’ll be looking to install them after ECXC in mid July, or when they become available.

They’re blue!! That’s kinda why I was waiting for the Ironman ones. I know, I’m cheesy, but the blue matched my diff cover. Along with the brand now

I can’t tell if you want the blue or don’t want the blue, but the Ironman ones are neon green even though the pictures don’t reflect that.

I did expect the Ironman ones to be blue and yes wanted blue just to be different. But since @JeffPro4x was kind enough to slap some sense into me and not wait, I just ordered the set from Offroad Gorilla. Blue and all. No, actually I was just waiting for Ironman ones to match the springs I ordered from them. But they would have matched the lime green wax solution From the car wash I had dripping off my rig last year that I thought was antifreeze.
