Ironman 4X4 America Issues

I've bought a few things from Ironman 4X4 America lately, and have had mixed results.

My awning and windscreen were fine.

My awning quick release bracket required 16 washers but only came with 12. Annoying, but easy to mitigate.

However, I ordered two soft shackles from them that I received yesterday - one is clearly used.

It was in normal packaging (bag with cardboard stapled on top), but didn't include the carry bag that was supposed to be there, is faded, frayed, and even has discoloring from presumably the snatch strap or shackle it was attached to.

I quickly fired off an angry email and will update when I hear back, but when it comes to rated recovery gear, it's absolutely unacceptable for a company to be selling gear that's used or damaged in any way.

I've only purchased a water tank from them, and my experience was very good. It shipped same day, and was at my house the next day.

To be fair, I'd be pretty upset if I purchased recovery gear that was obviously used. If you don't hear from themnby Tuesday, I'd just call them up.

They sent out a new one today and told me to throw away the other. They also said they don't deal at all in used stuff and don't know how that could've happened. I'm guessing somebody re-stapled the top on the bag and returned it as "new."

I'm glad they took care of you and made it right.

That reminds me.... I need to call them up and find out if I can get the 5 gal wtaer can with a hose barb as well. The 40L tank I bought ended up being too big to fit where I wanted it too.
