hmmm, were you ever able to get that to work with your first gen? I tried the kiwi with iphone and android, both combinations worked on a few other vehicles but not my X.

I like the memebase app for my daily laughs, the art of trolling is pretty funny.

Yep, works great. Recently the wifi died on it, so they have it in for warranty repair. Hopefully back on the truck next week.

This thing is GREAT - use the 'off roading' filters and takes you to the trailhead

For Android platform:

without jailbreaking it, you aren't getting around their fee, and as far as I understand, on verizon, even if you do jailbreak it I don't think it matters, anything that connects through a tethering system and our servers kick you to a "buy the service or you're out of luck" page....

I don't know why the word jailbreak scares everyone. It doesn't change how your phone works at all. Only thing it does is allow your to do more with your phone then before.

That being said MiWi is good but there is an app called PDA net that works way better.

ATT has never kicked me... I use PDA Net and I still have an 'unlimited' plan; I can even set up it to 'hide' my usage causing my laptop's browsers to load the mobile versions of pages. This and changing the default sounds were the primary reason I jailbroke.

it doesn't scare everyone, just the people that don't like the risk of having to buy a replacement at full retail because you voided the warranty by jailbreaking the phone.

That's when you learn to fix your own device. $10 for 3G(s) digitizers, $25 for 3G(s) LCD, $50 for 4(s) screen. I have taken my device into Apple when it was malfunctioning, but the good thing is I only changed sounds so it was easy to hide.

That isn't true. Jailbreaking doesn't void warranty it was made legal a couple years ago. Plus all you have to do is restore to factory default and the jailbreak is removed. I have sent 2 iphones and an ipod touch to apple for repair and all were jailbroken prior to being sent there, I just restored before I sent off. I currently have a iPhone 4s and it is jailbroken and I love all the extra things mine can do that others can't.

But to each his own.

WRONG....jailbreaking was considered **illegal** before because it was a direct violation of the TOS/EULA on the software/hardware of the device. the change a few years ago was that apple was told that they couldn't do anything legally OTHER than voiding warranty. the iphone is made to work with iOS as apple made it, and apps that they have tested and certified as safe, as well as their other restrictions, jailbreaking the device allows you to do things which apple has either intentionally restricted, or hasn't certified not to cause issues on the device. jailbreak it if you want, I personally don't care, but, there are quite a few reasons why not to do it. I'm not having the discussion to argue it or anything else, I'm simply correcting your misinformation. If you'd like to prove me wrong, do it by PM, and please, cite reliable resources such as apple.com or other such official sites.
