Info help with ATF change

Bought an X
I have a 2011 PRO 4X WITH 170,000 miles, no real issues with the transmission, I just noticed recently noticed (only happened 1 or 2 times), when I would drop it into Drive it would take a second or 2 to go into gear, I had a similar issue with a 2007 FJ Cruiser with the same basic miles & the trans fluid change fixed the problem. The Toyota dealer (because it was a dealer service only... Sealed system), wanted like $350 for the service. The guys on the FJ forum figured out a way to do it yourself for a fraction of the price. It took awhile but was worth it. My question is: is my 2011 Xterra transmission a "sealed" system that is dealer service only & is there a way to do it myself? I have not rolled under my Xterra & looked for a drain plug yet but I do know there is no dip stick. Any help would be appreciated, or at very least direct me to a thread on this forum that deals with this subject as my search did not come up with anything. Thank You for any help

It’s not a sealed system and you are definately able to service this yourself with basic mechanical knowledge. Look up the Poor man’s flush. That should help out in what the process is.
