So this is my 2000 xterra 3.3 na 5 speed i intend on going with a qd3.2eti with mechanical pump but ive heard the speedo and odo are part of the ecu im trying to figure out how to get the qd to run in this and keep my speedo and odo i really want the qd32 because it uses the fw5r30a and so does the vg33e just different clutches so any good advice would be awesome

Yes i know its gas to diesel yes i can legally do it and yes i know it would be a M/R title and wouldnt be worth crap after but i want power and mpg

There have been a few to do it. Yes. The gages are electronic. The most successful diesel swaps have been Nissan TD series engines. Hopefully someone with direct swap knowledge can chime in. I wish you the best of luck.

The qd is alot newer then the td27 so it should be just as compatible im just trying to figure out how to bypass the sensors and bs but keep the guages functioning this would also help as im taking the sock off the fuel pump in the tank and using it as a riser pump

Best bet will be to get a schematic of each engine and draw your own to line up the sensors you need and drop the sensors you don't.

And then remove the cel im sure im going to have dumb shiat happen i thought of getting an ecm from an elgrand or a navara and having it programmed i dont have the security system anymore because it was causing issues so it shouldnt lock me out of the starter

Well bonus i found out the company im getting the engine from provides wiring harness and ecu with the engine and trans i dont need the auto trans so il make a little bit of my expences back between the ecu trans and my vg33e i figure 800$ for the trans 200 for ecu and maybe 500 or so for the vg33e its been rebuilt port polished with thorney headers new timing belt and waterpump only had 128k on it
