Impossible 90's Pathfinder Tire Carrier

Has anyone been able to accomplish this on a second gen Xterra?

 

Accomplish what, exactly?

a tire carrier on a pathy? Yes. Is an "Impossible" a brand? No jokes.

 

Has there been someone in the community to add that tire carrier to a second gen Xterra? Seems like geometry is off to do so, but the possibilities if it were.

 

To be clear, you're asking if anyone has installed an late 80's early 90's pathfinder tire carrier on a 2G xterra?

If I recall, that's a panel install. Can it be done? Yes. Are you better getting a functional fabricated bumper? Yes.

 

Yes that is correct, seems my system has a delay in receiving responses, sorry for the late response.

 

Can you elaborate? My thought, is for not much money out of the junk yard you could bring this back to use.

 

I believe the pathy had reinforcement in the back corners to support the weight of the carrier and spare. Since it was never an option on the X most likely it would cause problems to try to mount just to the sheet metal.
