1st Gen - Wanted Idler Arm

Looking for original Nissan idler arm assembly. I actually only need the bracket/pin (the part that mounts to the frame, arm itself slides onto this pin). The new part that Nissan sells (D8530-VK90A) is crap (the pin is way thinner!). I have aftermarket Total Chaos steering that requires the original thickness pin.

Here is a pic of the original idler arm (right) vs the new ones Nissan dealers sell (left):

If anyone has an OE idler arm with the 25.5mm thick pin in good condition, I'll buy it!

The pin on mine is worn down so I have play even with brand new Teflon sleeves (bushings) in my aftermarket arm.

Is there any chance you could have a custom teflon sleeve made that compensates for the additional wear on the original pin?

I guess so, but getting the dimensions right might be an absolute headache. Also, sleeves are usually thin and soft metal - making it that thick will probably create some weird wear patterns due to thick but soft material I'd imagine, but who knows.

I think it might almost be easier to take the thin pin and make the pin thicker but getting the right diameter solid metal tube and drilling it out to slid the thin pin inside and then tack welding it to the pin bracket so it doesn't spin. Having said that, seeing as this is a critical driving component I'd rather just find the old OE piece and avoid fabricating... but if all else fails but have to resort to that!

Considering how many of these old Xterras are now primarily adventure/wheeling machines, seems like the market is prime for someone to make and sell a high quality durable aftermarket idler arm!
