I am in high school and am looking to go mudding in some pretty rough conditions. My mom says I can’t until I find a skid plat kit. I don’t just want any skid plate I want one I can rely on and not have it break on my first expedition. I’m looking for a steel kit that is a three piece that will cover the engine transmission and possibly one that will reach the differential. If anyone knows any good companies I can go to and check out please let me know

If you're going to be driving in a lot of mud, you'll want to pull the skids twice a year, pressure wash everything (especially the frame) REALLY good and paint it with Rustoleum to keep your frame and cross members from rusting out.

For a steel skid plate kit that won't let you down, check out companies like ARB, RCI Metalworks, or Skid Row Off-Road. They all make tough, reliable kits that cover the engine, transmission, and sometimes the differential. Make sure to read reviews and maybe even reach out to people who’ve used them to get the lowdown on performance.

Whoever you are, before suggesting that someone looking for a skid plate for a 1st gen Xterra look at the fabulous companies you mentioned, you might want to make sure those companies actually MAKE a skid plate for a 1st gen Xterra, because NOT ONE of them does.

I've now read every one of your 6 posts, and some of them seem pretty spammy....

It's not that he still males them... He recently started making them after Shrockworks shutdown. The full set is spendy. Which is why I've not picked them up myself yet.
Well you're not gonna get armor for $200, that's for sure. Those things are expensive and are getting even more expensive as time goes by.
