So I really bashed my UCA/LCA mounts back about a .5'' and I plan to simply bend them back. A half inch in the mount translates to around 3-4'' at the outside of the wheel. I have some options that include letting a guy heat it up and bending the tabs back or letting the shop use hydraulic rams to do it cold.
The guy that will drop the arms and heat the tabs to bend them would be substantially cheaper, this is a beater trail rig anyways. It's older and I don't really care about having everything "perfect" so I would rather cheap out.
Anyone got the metallurgy experience to persuade me otherwise?\
