Home built roller drawers

Trying to get ready for my overland trip to the Grand Canyon this coming summer. Decided to get organized with some roller drawers for the trunk. I refuse to pay several hundred dollars for some professional ones (even though they are nicer) seeing as mine do the job. The box is 30 inches long by 34 in wide. Each drawer is 30in long by about 14.5in wide. Made some supports to hold the top cover plus around 200lbs on top for other, larger gear. Each drawer has a switch to lock it firmly in place... doesn't rattle around at all thankfully.

Thanks! Yeah these things are awesome! They didn't cost much to build (and there's always the pride of building it yourself) and they work very efficiently. Probably gonna get a roof rack or something with the money I saved.... I've got mod fever, but no money lol. Seems to be a fairly common issue

They are definitely better then using storage boxes. Yeah, even those of us with some good paying jobs never seen to have enough money for the mods.

very true, I used to have plastic tubs sitting all around the trunk. It's always either time or money that causes issues, but it's always worth it.

Nice job on the boxes Levi! I think you will find that you can find your gear faster and keep it more organized. I know right where everything is, so I can grab things in a hurry. Well done!

If you have those cargo tracks in the floor of your Xterra then you can bolt your box down to the truck so it doesn't move around. Check out these channel nuts from Home Depot, you might be able to use these.
