Hello, Xterra Commuter Here

Howdy.
Left the old TheNewx after the website was taken over.

I drive my wife's 2011 S 2wd 106 miles every day through Houston and I love every minute of it. It has 161k miles on it and has only had the crankshaft pos sensor changed other than self improvement mods. MPG is my biggest goal and I once drove it to virtual empty at 495 miles trip but that was from feathering the pedal in light/no traffic. Most good weeks I get 21-23 mpg but depending on what fuel I filled up with it can be worse. 23.9 mpg is my personal best, but it is hard not to floor it with the XTP IMS and the AFE catback. I'm the black X on the left, the one I parked next to no longer works here. Pic of the Newx calendar at my desk.

Just saying hi

Welcome.

You should spend many thousands moding it into a 6000 lb beast like I have and then you can get upwards of 14 MPG.... maybe 16 if you're lucky on the freeway.

Hello, I too am just a X commuter. I classify mine as a pavement pounder and hound hauler. I have a 2003 with the 2.4 and manual. I get 19.5 mpg which I am plenty happy with.
