Hi! My name is Cooky8, I just purchased a 2003 Xterra SE with SC :) it has a few holes but will get fixed, chipping paint that will be replaced and a lot of mud and snow potential! Cant wait to work on it. received_2359906340933152.jpeg

Welcome from the Ottawa valley. Where about in Canada you at

Bienvenue au site.
I'm from Portneuf Quebec ;)

Love the color too but since I got a lot of bodywork to do due to age and maybe the previous owner lack of care, I'm gonna have to do the budget option and spray paint it. I'm no michaelangelo but I'm handy with a can and will try to make a clean job of it. Got a lot of work on the frame, cleaning the surface rust and probably bedline it. I'm thinking of mat asphalt gray with black bumpers.

Not sure how the bed liner would fair up On the frame. I know that people have used POR 15 and that is supposed to hold up to the salt and stop rusting

Welcome to XN! Very rare setup you've got there.

@kirk SC Atomic Orange!
It's a beautiful color but I wont have enough money to keep it that way... it's sad I know..

To have an uniform color and get rid of the rust spots and try not rusting soon, might have to resort to that. I really like that gray tho

Pff, North my foot. Silly Southern Canadians... ;)

Welcome to the site. Thats a pretty sweet color, its awesome having an odd one out. Hope it gives you years of enjoyment.

I'm more. North than lot of Americans, that's north enough for me ;) -50 with the river wind is my kind of fun.

I wish I could keep the orange. I really would LOVE to keep it. Maybe one day if its keeping working long enough so I can have the dough to have it repainted professionally..

Order you some Atomic Orange spray cans! It'd be worth the extra to keep the cool color.

What is that color called? Atomic Orange? Pretty cool~
I've been thinking of painting mine with bed liner vs paint and think I may stripe it two tone with gray. It's got the same problems you're talking about but that's just character! This Raptor liner is tintable so you could have your X color matched with this product.

I'm thinking I may use this and do hood, roof, hatch and rockers. Maybe two tone the mirrors and rack..

Love that color too but sadly, budget wise and due to the extensive bodywork and state of the paint atm, its gonna change..
