Hello from Georgia

Hi there!

I'm Tito. From Georgia. Just purchased a 4WD 2014 X Trim.

Super excited to finally be in an Xterra.
That’s a nice clean Xterra Tito! Welcome to the group. Is it MT or AT? 2WD? 4cyl? Give us the lowdown Charlie Brown. Most importantly, what’s your goals for it? Are you an experienced grease monkey or just beginner? Keep us posted on progress I’ll do the same. Safe Travels.

Auto. I was eyeballing a 2013 MT Pro 4X for a few days but I drive 80 miles a day back and forth for work and... well, I'd like to be able to walk when I get home after fighting traffic all that time (Atlanta is friggin terrible about traffic).

So, given that I drive so much, my plans are merely adding a few comfort amenities - new head unit for Android Auto, weather tech protection, blah blah normie-occasional-offroad-adventure-mobile blah.

But! I could always suffer a mid life crisis and absolutely NEED to go full tilt Titan Swap (which will be very likely once the oldest son begins working and, therefore, begins eating a bit less of all my food!).

Lol! I have four boys I know your pain. Everything is a sword and edible. I think around age eleven mine all developed tape worms. I can relate to a capable commuter rig. That’s similar to what I’m going for. Btw I drove a MT Dodge Dakota in DC commuter traffic (2-6 hours to go thirty miles!) I know clutch knee pain as well. I eventually installed a cb and ham radio in the truck and with the help of a modified hmmv whip antenna I contacted the attic circle and Peru on my commutes home! I have a first gen Xterra V6, 2WD, AT. It snows pretty good up here in the top left corner I’m ninety miles from Canada and thirteen from north Idaho mountains. I would ideally like a 4wd Titan but I got a great deal from my brother on this one with around 100k on it so I’m gonna clean it up, mild lift and tires, upgraded stereo because I used to do that for a living, and maybe (spelled definitely) find an air locker for the rear differential. I’ll skip the pre-runner bumper and safari rear bumper to save on weight. I mostly commute on surface streets and don’t want to spend my dad budget on fixing off road adventure repairs so it will probably never see the mountains off the fire roads. I’ll be happy enough to drift some snowy corners and hop some medians with confidence. Nuff said. Have fun in your x!
