Showcase your Hefty here! No bashing this is for people to show off their bumpers, not debate which one is better.

Here's my beast!

So as I was traveling home on I-70 through a construction zone a semi decided o merge into my lane while I was right beside him (doing approx. 45mpf). Being as I didn't want to wrestle with a semi I decided taking my chances busting through the big orange construction barrels. I didn't even feel it when I hit it and the thing went flying. There is a tiny dent where it hit the quarter panel and a little orange paint but the paint wiped off and the hefty had no marks at all. With a plastic bumper there is no doubt I would have at the minimum had front and damage and possibly would have set off the air bags. I am very happy I purchased this bumper and it may have just paid for itself right there.

O like it much better than his other...Only issue I see is that plate will be weak holding up the bars.. And really thats only if you would you is as a recovery point... (Bars that its)

That is being said based on what I can see... Im sure its rock solid

Hefty's newest bumper for the 2nd Gen Xterra. Thoughts?

I'm happy with my bumper design.

I like that better than yours....well, I like the LOOK of yours, but the frame protection of that one. That really is the only thing that kept hanging me up on the hefty you have. Did he do away with the old design or is this a second style he's gonna offer?

He's only posted this picture up that I've seen so far.

The more I look at this one the more I like it better. I'll change my statement from earlier to I'm stilly happy with my purchase lol.

More pics of Hefty's new design:

Hopefully this picture answers your question. They are 3/8" solid steel uprights which attach directly to the frame:

Yes, there is:

The bar between the uprights is contoured to the hood:

A few different angles after powdercoat:

If someone wants a specific angle let me know and I'll shoot it!

ok, here's a specific one for ya....sit on the ground, infront of one of the frame rails, make sure the flash is on, and snap a pic of the bumper mount/frame rail I'm looking to see if there's less frame rail exposed than on mac's version.

See thats a fail to me... IF he redesigned the bumper.. Seems like you could have added the spot for the new grills..
I understood on the older one..

Not bashing..

This has me rethinking designing my own. That is the exact shape I was going for. I would just want different lights.

I think if they lowered the center section it would look like Xebra said bucktoothed.

Here's my two cents. If you're going to get an aftermarket bumper and you go with one that requires the removal of the stock bumper and a lot of plastic cutting, what's a little more cutting IF you're going to take the next step and add a winch? My grill is still intact. But at the moment I've got no plans for a winch. What's the difference in cutting?
