My headlights are lookin' shabby. I got the Chemical Guys headlight restore goo, but they fogged again after a couple days. It didn't fully restored my lights anyway, there was still some haze in the center.

What kits have you used?
How did your headlights turn out?
Would you use that kit again?

I used either mothers or meguiars, and it worked okay - but then I replaced the chrome bezel headlights with ones with black bezels instead and put lamin-x on top. Been solid ever since.

I used the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit (Heavy Duty – Drill Activated) on seven year old yellowed headlights. It works pretty well, but the headlights stay clear for only about a year. The kit is good for about three rounds of use as long as you seal the packages back up so the wax doesn't dry. You will need to buy additional tape for more than one use.

The last one I used was the 3M Heavy Duty kit last spring and it did a great job. the headlights need to be removed to do a good job on them because of the necessary power sanding. I did two coats of the wipe on clear coat and I also keep my headlights waxed every month or so which helps a bit with durability.

Okay, I just ordered the 3M kit and some Meguiars. I'll post back after I have restored my headlights and let you all know how it went. Thanks!

I’ve had good luck with the mothers headlight cleaner , just do it a couple times and make sure to wash it with soap and water between treatments to get all the crud off . 37C8649E-B726-49CD-85E8-45C5AAB09890.jpegA7426D2D-5C8A-4C9F-9336-B6B8275B9B60.jpeg
