Working on this now Mel...looks like at least Top of The World on Thursday, possibly Fins N Things on Monday. Maybe Porcupine Rim on Friday, but we want to see what other volunteers step up. Very excited that you can make it again. Did you rent the same condo next door to the one we rented??

No we're in a single level one this year, Sean / nmterras picked it out not sure which one it is off the top of my head right now.

Yeah, like Joe said, not sure which condo we'll be in. If you need volunteers, I can be mid-gunner for whatever. Might as well contribute to an activity I enjoy so much. As long as everyone is aware I have a sailor's mouth. :p

I just got an extra week of paid vacation, I can't think of a better way to use it!! Just need to make sure I can get someone to tag along and absorb some fuel cost

I have a buddy that is going nto come with, we will do a straight drive through. Its only about 24 hours drive time, the plan is Mo.-eastern Co. in the dark, with mountains and Moab in the daylight.

^Hahahaha, I think most men would be too scared to share a room with me. :p

My friend Mel has not given me the 100% yet that she is going. I'm still working on her. I can definitely keep you posted though. We were going to split the cost $250/ea for the week for the room.

Okay cool...got it. You guys are in X3...looks like I reserved 3A2 over in Rim Village...next to ChrisHaynesUSA. I actually think we snagged Bucksnort/MacMedics from last year.

Close enough to the action to walk...far enough away to sleep well.

I sent a text to my friend asking her to confirm or not.
Yeah, that one kid...exactly, should not be too shocking. This is me we're talking about.

Oooo X3 really? nice!

Hmmm, after looking at the schedule, I'm thinking Metal Masher, Dome Plateau, Elephant Hill, break day and Poison Spider Mesa. Oh man, so many choices!

I hear ya so I'm thinking possibly fins or sec spire ( I kinda wanted to check it out last year but heard it was cool but really easy), done plateau or crystal geyser, 7 mile, maybe hells, and porcupine rim.

Well, need to finish fins, and do Hells (didn't do the latter and didn't finish the former due to Kane Creek carnage). I heard Steel Bender was super fun, and Poison Spider too. I may have to scale back a little, but I do expect Terra will be in a little better shape this year. Mel, do you recommend 7-mile?

I was thinking we should pre-run Fins. I did not get to finish it last year either since I helped MotorCop get home with his broken diff.

Seven Mile was probably my fav trail last year. Took most of the day to do, so expect to be out there for a long time but not quite as long as Top of the World was last year.

The forum is up and people are posting: gone forum.

Also, I have not heard back from my friend and it's been more than a week. So at this point I am relinquishing her bed to whomever wants it.

Are you locked Joe? If not, I wouldn't do Kane Creek - I have a limited slip and I needed a tug at one point, and broke some schlitz too. That climb out was rough! That said, the place where I encountered difficulty and needed to be pulled up I think I had the wrong line on, but who knows...

dang it, I don't like the re-shuffled lineup - I was interested in strike ravine, but now it's the same day as seven-mile rim...Blah. Also, Flatiron mesa was a blast, and this is a totally doable red trail.

Sorry Sean...we tried to offer more of the popular trails (Fins, Hell's, TOTW) to keep the numbers down on the trail. Strike is new as we wanted to check out AreaBFE, but Sevenmile is popular too. Hard decisions for sure...but the easiest one is just heading to Moab.

Here's what I'm thinking now:
Pre-run Fins and maybe also Hells on Sunday;
Monday - Hells or Fins
Tues - Steel Bender
Wed - Strike Ravine
Thurs - Fins or Hells
Fri - Poison Spider

Mel and Joe - you guys up for doubling up on Sunday?

Not sure I want to double up on Sunday either.

I was considering taking a day off on Thursday. Go explore, sleep in, the usual.

After the schedule was changed around, here's my tentative schedule
Monday- Metal Masher
Tues- Dome Plateau
Weds- Elephant Hill
Thurs- break
Fri- Poison Spider Mesa

Never been on any of these trails. Thought I'd try out all new things, woo!
