Hi guys, not sure if I am allowed to post this here, but recently a fellow Xterra owner has gotten hurt and is struggling to make bills. I know that this community has historically been great about coming together and helping each other out so I am asking for help on behalf of my friend. If you would like more details, I can give them, but I didn't want to post his entire story as I am not sure what he wants known and what he doesn't want know. Just know that any help is appreciated immensely.

Ryan, if you hadn't posted, I would have.

Many of you guys here know James Drake from other forums. The only reason he is not an active member here is because it would have meant giving up his moderator status on another forum. James is a stand up guy, and a long time active Xterra community member who would give you the shirt off his back, and who also had to be talked into asking for help because he didn't want any handouts. All he is looking for is help with medical expenses, as he is self employed and does not have any medical insurance. Give to your fellow community members when you can. One of the great things about this community is how often I see us paying it forward. Let's keep that faith alive as long we possibly can.

I checked it last night on FB - he has already achieved the goal or already exceeded the goal for his medical expenses.

Glad for him and wish him best of luck with his recovery.

Met Drake a few times - he's a good guy. Got me hooked on modding my first Xterra and was my first guide when wheeling for the first time ever in the thick slop mud at Windrock.

Your donation is still good as long as the page is up. I am sure any help he can get is greatly appreciated. I spoke to him last night and he was in much higher hopes than I have seen him in a long time. He is absolutely in awe at the support of the off road community. Thank you to each one of you!
