Gear in the Rear

As a newcomer, I have been reinventing the wheel trying to decide what I need to have to keep my pride and joy in the game.  The air compressor, the jump starter, and snatch straps were obvious, but there are many I may be missing.  What have you got stashed away in the back? And why would it be useful?  I upgraded that First aid kit to serious stuff, and threw in rope, bungee cords, Knife, hatchet, rain gear and dry clothes.  My maglites (large and small) have leds and window breaking points.  I got that class B extinguisher that fits exactly in the door opening.  So help me out if you can, and pictures would be great.  What kind of zombie gear do you have going on?

I have so much bs I took the rear seats out and build extra storage there. Granted, I do have a rather large sub box as well... If I'm going to get stuck somewhere, at least I'll have good quality audio... Until my batt dies. :-( (thinking i will add a 2nd batt soon)

Duck tape, electrical tape, fuses, fuses, fuses, reels of wire, soldering iron (Butane powered), flashlights, batteries, ratchet straps, bungi straps, wire coat hanger, other bendy strap things (don't know what they are called, rubber coated) fire extinguisher, come-along, snatch straps, air compressor, air compressor attachments, tire repair kit, multi tool, various other tools that ended up in there that never made it back into my tool box, electrical conductivity checker thing, CLS bag (like a first aid kit but better, issued by the USMC), zip lock bags, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, zip ties, oil filter, belts, tire iron, bi+ch be good stick, cheater bar, hi lift jack accessories, piece of chain, glow sticks (with and without rope), rope, 550 cord (para cord), knives, hatchet, D rings, gloves, headlamp... I'm SURE there is more, that's just everything I can remember.

Now thats what I am talking about; multitool, toilet paper, zip locks, duct tape, gloves, para cord, already there. Nissan actually offers a cheapo tool kit that that they gave me, and its in there too. The 2013 is wired at 20 amps, but a set of spares might be a good idea; thanks.

In addition to what has been said, I keep my light weight summer sleeping bag, about 5 bottles of water, I always seems to have some chips and beef jerky in my truck, as well as some freeze dried meals (coleman, mountain house) a can of sterno, matches, lighter. I also keep some random parts in my truck, like belts, spark plugs, rotor button and distributor cap. I usually try and keep old stuff if it still looks like it could be used in a pinch, like and old frayed belt is better than a broken one, and if you change spark plug cables, keep the longest one as a spare. I keep a variety of bolts, nuts and screws and clamps and lengths and sizes of hoses. Really just about anything I would have on the trail I tend to keep with me except for my camping gear.

Forgot to add, Sponge figured out that a full size axe will fit flat underneath the 2nd Gen removable seats, so we keep it there for firewood. Haven't tried to see if it would fit under my removable seats though.

Glad I'm not the only one that keeps a lot of junk in the trunk! I could probably use a revaluation of what I have and what i have where I have it. Maybe on a warmer day...

I have some recovery tools i.e. straps, shovel, hi-lift, when I off road I bring some planks of wood to put under the tires if I get stuck (highly suggest doing that lol), just typical tools i.e. wrenches, screw drivers etc. I have a hatchet, some electric tools, sleeping bag, boots, a lot of first aid kits/equipment, flash lights, hand flares, and something my parents got me for Christmas which is almost a must, especially if you're going off road or camping by yourself, is a ACR ResQLink. It's a personal GPS locator. It's a great tool if you ever get yourself stuck somewhere where you're in life threatening danger or if you're lost and injured. A great thing to have and happy my parents got it for me (wasn't just for off roading, I'm a park ranger and I go into the wilderness/back country quite a bit on my own so it's great to have, but it's great if you flip your truck in the middle of no where and you're in trouble). I also bring some tools if I need to recharge my battery, hook mine up to someone elses, or to do whatever I need to get my truck running again even for a short while (I'm far from being a mechanical kind of person, I just bring basic tools).
